INR Program

Who is this program for?

Many patients are prescribed warfarin to treat or prevent blood clots and need regular INR testing helps to make sure the dosage is correct. This program is connected with all Guelph Family Health Team doctors offices.

What does this program look like?

The INR program is run by Guelph FHT Registered Nurses and Clinical Pharmacists. By taking a drop of blood from a patient’s finger and applying it to our machine, we are able to get your blood level very quickly. Before you leave the clinic you will have your result, you will know your dose of warfarin to continue with, and you will know when to return to the clinic for your next visit.
