Description:
A place for seniors with intellectual disabilities to learn and maintain skills for daily life, meet new people and access their community.  A variety of activities are offered including sports and exercise, crafts and games, computers, literacy skill development, communication skills, pet therapy.  Ages 55+. Activity fee $20/month.  Extra fee for Wednesday arts and crafts program.

Drop-in program for recreation and leisure activities.  Health and Wellness activities.  Local transportation to the programs can be provided.  The "Senior's Link" is a free publication which informs seniors of agency and community events.

Evergreen Seniors Centre (Guelph Wellington Seniors Association)

Description:
Offers courses, workshops and other activities.  The centre has a gym/auditorium and health room.

Feeling Better Program - Home exercise program where a trained exercise volunteer visits the home to lead a gentle exercise program.  This program is free for "isolated" or "at risk" older adults.

Feeling Better Too Program - Group exercise program.  Classes Tuesday-Thursday.  Everyone can participate, from chair to walking exercises.  Call for location. Suggested donation of $2/class.

Other Physical Activies - Line, ballroom and latin dancing, clogging, fit for golf, laughter yoga, pilates, strength training, total body workout, shuffleboard, table tennis, walking clubs, carpet bowling, golf.

Walking club running from May-October on Thursday mornings.  Meet at Riverside Park at the pavilion with the orange roof.

Memberships available for those 55+ years.

Curling league for children and adults (6 years - senior).  Annual summer development camps for junior curlers from across Canada. 
Leagues: ladies, business women, men, junior, seniors jam jar session 2x/week.

Recreational lawn bowling for all ages.  Meets Monday and Friday nights, designated Tuesday and Wednesday, some weekends, holiday Monday afternoons during season at Royal City Park.  Season runs May-October.  Membership fees apply.  Call for information.

Information:
Multi-event competition for seniors 55+ years old.  Held every year in 39 districts around the province.  Summer Games held in even-numbered years and include euchre, bocce, carpet bowling, contract bridge, cribbage, darts, 5-pin bowling, golf, horseshoe, lawn bowling, shuffleboard, slo-pitch, swimming, tennis and walking. 
Winter Games are held in odd-numbered years and include alpine skiing, badminton, curling, bridge, hockey, nordic skiing, skating, table tennis, ten-pin bowling, volleyball.
